Greens Aerification will be done this month at our two City of Everett golf courses as it is being done this month at most facilities in the pacific northwest. The Aerification of our greens is important for their health and their good playing conditions through-out the year. As in past years this will cause the golf courses to close on the day that Aerification is being done. The courses will be done on different dates to ensure one of the courses being open for play. Our Greens Superintendents Dale Bowers at Legion Memorial and Dennis Parsons at Walter Hall will do their best to ensure quick recovery and minimal disruption to play coming out of the Aerification. We appreciate your patience.

Walter Hall Golf Course (Closed All Day) – September 8th
Legion Memorial Golf Course (Closed All Day) - September 15th

Singh Wins Joe Richer Junior Golf Club Championship

The Joe Richer Junior Golf Championship for 2008 was held August 12th and 13th at Walter Hall Golf Course and Legion Memorial Golf Course. Ajundra Singh of Everett won the tournament becoming the 2008 Joe Richer Junior Golf Club Champion. Singh shot rounds of 76 at Walter Hall and 73 at Legion Memorial for a total of 149 and a seven shot victory over Ryan Certain also of Everett.

THEFT ALERT

Parking lots of shopping malls, park and rides, parks and golf courses or any place that cars are parked for extended periods of time are often a target for thieves.  Even our parking lot at Legion has been hit recently.  For your protection please remember to remove all valuables from your vehicle while playing golf.  If you must leave something of value in the car, please make sure it is out of site.  Don’t let yourself become the easy target of a theft!

Tee Time Phone Numbers and Website Tee Times

It is easy to make tee times at Legion Memorial and Walter Hall Golf Courses.  Tee times can be made over the phone at 425-259-GOLF for Legion Memorial and at 425-353-GOLF for Walter Hall or you may also make advance tee times day or night on the web at Everettgolf.com.  If you have not used the website to make or change tee times, give it a try.  It’s quick, easy and you can do it whenever you want! 

Note:  Please be careful to double check if you have chosen an AM or PM tee time.  Example, if you are making a 6:00 tee time, make sure you don’t accidentally select a 6:00 PM time when you wanted a 6:00 AM time!
